Create a Solana Token Staking Pool

Let holders lock your token for a term and earn a share of a reward pot you put up. Locks cannot be broken early.

Solana0.5 SOL per pool, 0.005 per stake
Note
Testnet only for now, and every setting is permanent. This runs on a staking program we wrote. Our last review found problems in it, and the fixed version is tested on devnet before mainnet gets it. A pool's terms cannot be edited once created.

Chain

Staking is on testnet only for now. It runs on a program we wrote ourselves, and our last review found problems in it; the fixed version is being tested on devnet and reaches mainnet only after that. Switch the network toggle to Testnet to try it.

Common questions

Can I promise a fixed APY?

No, and that is deliberate. This pool pays out a fixed pot, shared between whoever is staked at the time, so the rate falls as more people join. A guaranteed rate would be an unbounded promise against a bounded pot, and the person who found the shortfall would be whoever claimed last. The page shows a live estimate and calls it one.

Can I get my reward tokens back?

Whatever nobody earned, yes. Once the pool has ended and every staker has withdrawn, you can close it and the unearned remainder returns to you along with the account rent. What has already been earned belongs to the stakers.

Can I change the terms after creating the pool?

No. There is no instruction to edit a pool. Somebody locking tokens for six months is relying on rules nobody can move afterwards, so the program has no way to move them.

Can I take the staked tokens?

No. The program has no instruction that lets a creator touch staked principal. Closing the pool moves only the reward tokens nobody earned and anything a stranger sent straight into the pool, and it is refused while any stake remains.

What happens if nobody stakes?

Nothing is paid out. The pool only releases rewards while someone is staked, so an empty stretch emits nothing rather than burning the pot into an empty pool. Whatever is left comes back to you when you close it.

What if a staker never comes back to withdraw?

You cannot close the pool until they do, and that asymmetry is on purpose. A creator able to close a pool holding somebody else's tokens is not a trade-off we are willing to make. Their principal is more urgent than your leftover rewards.

Does this work with Token-2022?

Not yet. A token with a transfer fee would break the accounting outright, because the amount that arrives differs from the amount sent, so the program accepts only original SPL tokens and refuses anything else up front.

Why is it not available on mainnet?

Because it runs on a program we wrote ourselves, and our last review of it found problems. The fixed version is being tested on devnet first, and mainnet gets it only after that, through an upgrade of the program. Every other Solana tool here wraps something somebody else wrote: the token programs, Jupiter Lock, Meteora.

Why does it charge a fee on testnet, when nothing else here does?

The fee is built into the staking program rather than added by this website, which is how it cannot be stripped out by anyone copying the page. The trade is that the program has no way to know which network it is running on, so it charges the same on testnet.

Is my token locked up with you?

No. Staked tokens sit in an account owned by the program, and only the staker can withdraw them, after their lock ends. We never hold them and neither do you. One limit no program can remove: a token whose issuer kept the power to freeze it can be frozen wherever it is held, this pool included. The pages warn about such tokens before anyone stakes.

What if the reward token gets frozen?

Then claiming stops, because every claim moves reward tokens out of a frozen account. Staked tokens are not trapped by it: once a stake's lock has ended, its owner can use the emergency exit, which returns the staked tokens and the account rent and gives up whatever rewards were not yet claimed.

Does a longer lock keep its bonus after it ends?

Yes. A stake's weight is set when it is made and counts for as long as it stays in the pool, so a 30-day lock left in after day 30 keeps earning at its 30-day rate. The price of that bonus was the lock itself: those tokens could not leave for 30 days. Every lock ends by the pool's end date, so the bonus never outlives the pool.

A fixed pot, not a fixed rate

Staking is a deal: holders lock your token for a term, and you pay them from a reward pot you fund once. Because the pot is fixed and shared among whoever is staked, the effective rate falls as more people join, so the page shows a live estimate and never a guaranteed APY. Everything sits in accounts the program owns, and the terms cannot change after creation.
